Turf Placement
Roll all the turf out with the grain towards your main view. Allow it to settle in the sun for 30 to 60 minutes. Cut edges with a sharp knife, leaving a little overhang to adjust later. Seams should have factory edges, seam tape, and adhesive, with blades lined up so the joint fades.
Lock down your perimeter first. Secure with 5-inch or 6-inch non-galvanized nails every 6 to 8 inches on edges and 12 to 18 inches in the field. In busy strips by driveways or school walks, close up the spacing. Specialized tools, such as a power broom, plate compactor, and turf kicker, help set fibers and seat infill.
Final Touches
To maintain your artificial grass lawn, broom to fluff or stand the blades up. No-infill needed if the products come from AGL Grass North. After a day or so, be sure to re-broom. Verify edges against concrete, tucking beneath metal edging, and caulk at hardscape joints if necessary. Conduct a water test to ensure runoff directs to drains and not the slab. Finally, a walkthrough will cover care basics, from leaf blowing to pet cleanup, and verify warranties.
